Hyatt Launches New Green Hotels in London
On November 15, the first Andaz hotel will open in London; Hyatt’s new luxury, green hotel brand. The five-star hopeful will feature health-food mini-bars, water-efficient toilets, a computer controlled boiler which reduces fuel use by 25 percent, intelligent lighting systems in guest rooms, eco printers and infra -red detection in public toilet lighting.

On November 15, the first Andaz hotel will open in London; Hyatt’s new luxury, green hotel brand. The five-star hopeful will feature health-food mini-bars, water-efficient toilets, a computer controlled boiler which reduces fuel use by 25 percent, intelligent lighting systems in guest rooms, eco printers and infra -red detection in public toilet lighting.
The Andaz Liverpool Street in London’s East End, which is a redevelopment of the Great Eastern hotel rather than an all new construction, is also implementing a fair trade policy for purchasing food, and other food and drink will be sourced locally. Guests will also be able to check in by tablet computer to reduce paper consumption.
Andaz hotels are also scheduled to open in New York in 2008 and in Austin in 2010.
