The Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge has just been launched in Dominica, The Nature Island of The Caribbean.

Owned and managed by Jem Winston, of 3 Rivers Eco Lodge, the new lodge is adjascent to 3 Rivers, but nestled deep in the heart of the rainforest, and can be reached only on foot, after a 15 minute steep hike into the jungle.

All rooms are made from renewable materials, including Bamboo Tree Houses, and thatched traditional, Carib Indian Jungle Cabins. Camping and dormitory facilites are also available.

The lodge is powered by a wind Turbine, and water is a filtered rainwater collection system. The lodge offers a massive range of nature, adventure, and community based activities to suit all, as well as range of workshops in most forms of renewable energy.

Labeled as a “true back to nature experience”, the lodge is equipped with a variety of cool and sustainable accommodations in incredible, natural surroundings, and boasts a range of activities for all, including a sustainable Living Education Centre.

The idea was to create the ideal getaway, respecting the environment and working closely with the locals to create an ambience that is a mixture of cultures, where people on any budget can enjoy the natural wonders of Dominica, whilst minimizing the environmental impact and aiding the development of the local community.

Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge is now receiving a steadily growing flow of guests.
