Startup Technology Surpasses Existing Travel Sites
The Hotel Price Map concept was born out of a frustrating travel planning experience for co-founder Lynwood Bishop. ”I spent hours trying to find hotels near the Trevi Fountain when planning my honeymoon to Italy. Not being able to see it all visually on a map made the hotel reservation process much more difficult than it needed to be.” After the trip, he & college friend Glenn Kirbo partnered to create HotelMapSearch.com, giving travelers a map with all of the information they need to plan a trip quickly.

“Most travel sites only show you a few hotel locations at a time on a tiny map. We wanted to show them all,” explains co-founder Glenn Kirbo. ”The existing one-size-fits-all databases were too slow to keep up with our map, so we developed our own scalable solution.
