New green travel auction site ecoDestinations

The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) has just unveiled its latest initiative, ecoDestinations, driven by passion for uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. The monthly online auction highlights the most stellar examples of eco-friendly vacations in each destination.

With the vision of creating a world in which all tourism is ecotourism, ecoDestinations is The International Ecotourism Society’s new approach to promoting ecotourism as an effective tool for inspiring cultural awareness and commitment to environmental responsibility.

Featuring a different destination each month, ecoDestinations is an auction with a vision, connecting travelers with inspiring ecotourism initiatives. The monthly online auction, highlighting the most stellar examples of eco-friendly vacations in each destination, offers you the opportunity to bid on the vacations of your dreams at below retail value, with the peace of mind that your travel choice is making a positive impact for the planet.

Implementing TIES’ commitment to supporting visionary grass-roots efforts and empowering communities through ecotourism, each month TIES will select one organization from the featured destination to receive 5% of the ecoDestinations revenue.

TIES believes that all destinations have innovative and inspiring ecotourism stories to share with the world. For businesses and organizations committed to raising the standards of what it means to ‘be the change’, ecoDestinations provides you with a forum where you can share your stories and spend a month in the global spotlight.

Travelers are also invited to share extraordinary travel experiences and connect with fellow travel enthusiasts through the ecoDestinations blog.

ecoDestinations supports TIES goals of:

  • Inspiring everyone to make the travel choice that makes a difference every time.
  • Uniting communities, conservation, and extraordinary travel experiences.
  • Promoting ecotourism as a force to positively transform the way the world travels.

Opportunities for conscious travelers
