Online wellness community InnerRewards.com has just launched a new online travel guide by locals, highlighting the best spas deals, restaurants, outdoor exercise tips and more throughout the U.S.
InnerRewards.com, the popular online wellness and fitness community, has just launched brand-new local insider travel guides for cities like Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Tucson, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Seattle.
With great wellness-travel and recreation tips from InnerRewards "gurus", people can find local tips and insider advice from like-minded contributors and get the best scoop on yoga studios, wellness retreats and day spas, discover the best places to run, find healthy and organic places to eat, and more.
While the local gurus start discussions and lead the way, all community members are encouraged to participate.
"I LOVE this feature," says member cnyspagirl, Spa blogger and enthusiast. "You have me anxious to get myself to NYC for a weekend to explore and that California trip I have been planning for "some day" needs to get moved up on the list so I can visit SF and Sonoma. Looking forward to the launch of other cities."
Helping people travel healthy
The InnerRewards local travel guides help people to travel healthier by encouraging better decisions on nutritious food, exercise choices, and reducing stress.
The guides are comprised of a geographically and community-centric micro-blogging platform, where all InnerRewards members can participate and contribute to the local guide blog, top 10 lists, add photos and soon videos, and write posts about things they love to do in their location.
Members can write articles, stories, and create full-blown guides on what to do or little-known city facts. Members will soon be able to add their own city. Members are empowered to contribute to thousands of other people passionate about living a healthy life.
"Not only are social support and camaraderie in the community good for our souls, they also exert a positive influence on our physical health and wellbeing," says Dr. Christina Economos, an InnerRewards contributing author. "There is some very convincing research about the health benefits of strong social ties and social safety nets,"
