Asian tour provider Buffalo Tours has officially launched a Buffalo Tours Thailand office in Bangkok to offer inspirational, unique, affordable and responsible travel experiences to Thailand visitors.
The company is aiming to provide niche travel experiences that both engage and support local communities while offering guests opportunities for an authentic and mutually-respectful cultural exchange.
“Buffalo Tours experience in the dynamics of sustainability enables us to both ‘raise the bar’ in terms of setting new high standards within the industry, and to contribute directly to the wellbeing of local communities, where tourism’s importance cannot be overemphasized,” says Ms Arabella Lakin of Buffalo Tours. “We go beyond the ‘sun, sea & sand’ image, and our guests visiting the Kingdom of Thailand will continue to contribute directly to local communities, whether by simply staying in carefully selected, responsibly managed accommodation; enjoying a diving trip with reputable dive operators actively involved in conserving the marine environment; or meaningfully interacting with local communities, rather than just observing through a camera lens.”
“In short, we want our clients to return home with not only a memorable holiday but knowing that they have made a positive impact on the places they have visited.”
Buffalo Tours Thailand can organize anything from standard leisure holidays, adventure holidays (such as sailing, kayaking, cave diving and trekking), to group volunteer conservation projects.
Their destinations tend to include those only found in tiny print in most guide books, such as Isan, Mae Hong Son, Khoa Yai National Park, Phang Nga and the Similan Islands.
Celebrating 15 years of discovery
Buffalo Tours is now in its 15th year of operation. Established in Vietnam by CEO Tran Trong Kien, the company has grown from the humble beginnings of two employees and a telephone, to offering tours and ground handling services across Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand to over 200 travel agents and tour operators worldwide.
The company expects to provide services to approximately 28,000 customers in 2009.
