As part of IHG, whose corporate culture is committed to reducing the carbon footprint, Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay participates in ‘Green Engage’, a program that the IHG corporate leaders developed that allows hotels to measure their environmental impacts.

Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay has over 25 initiatives such as, using compact fluorescent lighting throughout the property versus incandescent, having toilets equipped with 1.6 gallon flush systems, providing recycling containers in all of the guest rooms along with recycling electronics, plastic, aluminum, tin and cardboard.

The hotel features three restaurants on property including, Ruth’s Chris Steak House famous for serious steak and sizzling personality; Elephant & Castle, which offers a combination of British Classics and North American favorites coupled with a list of over 100 beers and an extensive list of Scotch whiskeys; and Hazelwood’s Waterfront Deli featuring a casual setting or sandwich on the go.
